From a few selectively bred pairs,we strive to maintain a complete genealogy or pedigree of our birds so that we can trace their genetic "imprint." Breeeders who are interested in particular mutations can then be assured of the quality as well as the "split" (genetically present but not visible) available. For novice breeders or those who just want a beautiful companion parrot, this information can be educational or interesting to know (like tracing a family tree).
